Department of immovable monuments

The department participates in leading regional sections of a central list of immovable monuments and historical areas, runs their evidence and professional file, and carries out necessary photodocumentation. It provides owners, clerks, and other authorized persons and entities with information regarding historical monuments. It prepares material for the Czech Ministry of Culture in accordance with law no. 20/87.2-9 regarding state monument care, resp. declaring and discontinuing historical protection status. It participates in preparing surveys of unused and endangered monuments, and digitalizes collected data for re-identification.

Department of basic inventory evidence

This department prepares basic written and photographic documentation of inventorial items within the administration of the NIPCMS office in České Budějovice, and secures professional expertise for selected types of items. This documentation is archived in written as well as digital format, then made accessible for viewing by authorized persons. It prepares material for the Czech Ministry of Culture for the declaration and discontination of historical protection status for inventorial items.

Movable monument reports

A regional version of the central list of cultural monuments regarding movable monuments – indexes and evidential lists. This department works in the field to secure new documentation for the purpose of re-identifying the register of movable monuments and preparing a complete register of objects of a cultural nature in individual churches, parishes, depositories, etc. of the Roman Catholic church as part of the overall ISO task. Collected information and new photos are transferred to the Artguard database which digitalizes the original list of movable cultural monuments as well as other non-registered items of a cultural nature. The department also prepares a survey on endangered movable monuments and passes on data for the preparation of proposals for their restoration. It provides owners, institutions, and authorized persons with information from the movalbe monument database. It leads the agenda of the law no. 71/1994 and no. 80/2004 concerning the sale and export of items of a cultural nature. On the basis of these laws and law no. 20/1987, it prepares materials for the Czech Ministry of Culture for the declaration and discontinuation of historical protection status.
